Our Goal

Click News GG publishes evergreen explainers about horror games and story-driven adventure games: genre and mechanics explainers, series histories, guides and curated recommendations. Our goal is accuracy and clarity. This page explains how we choose topics, how we check facts and what we do when we get something wrong.

How We Choose Topics

We focus on questions players genuinely ask and that stay relevant beyond a single release week: what makes a game survival horror, where to start with a long series, which version of a remade game to play, or how a studio built its legacy. We avoid rumours, leaks and content that depends on this week’s patch or sales chart. We do not publish betting or gambling content.

Research and Fact-Checking

Release dates, platforms, developer and publisher credits are checked against official sources and established references.
Mechanics are described from official manuals, developer interviews and well-maintained community references, and we avoid patch-specific details that are likely to change.
Where facts can change, such as platform availability or the status of an announced game, we state the point in time they refer to, for example “as of 2026”.
Sales figures, awards and records are included only when we can verify them with a reliable source.
If we cannot verify a claim, we leave it out. We do not invent quotes, statistics or personal play experiences.

Spoilers and Content

Recommendation lists and beginner guides are written to be spoiler-free. Articles that explain stories, timelines or endings say so clearly at the top. Horror games deal with disturbing themes; where it helps readers choose, we describe the kind of content a game contains in general terms.

Sources

Each article ends with a list of the main sources we used, linked so readers can check them. We prefer primary sources such as developer and publisher websites, official announcements and manuals, supported by reputable reference works and gaming outlets.

Use of AI Tools

AI tools assist our team with research organisation and drafting. Every article is then fact-checked against sources and edited by a person before publication. Responsibility for what we publish rests with our editorial team, not with any software.

Authorship

Articles are published under the pen name Rowan Ashby, which represents our small independent editorial team. We do not attribute credentials or experience to the pen name that we do not have.

Corrections

If you find an error, please email [email protected] with the article link and, ideally, a source. We review every report. Factual errors are corrected promptly, and significant corrections are noted at the end of the article with the date of the update. We also revisit evergreen articles when a game is remade, re-released on new platforms or substantially changed.
